Vehicle file reference¶
Applies to v1.7+ · ~4 min read · Import guides
Use this reference when preparing a vehicle file or reviewing a vehicle saved mapping.
Fields shown in the mapping screen¶
| Scheduled Routes field | Shown as required | What to provide |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle Name | Yes | A stable name or ID for the vehicle. |
| Capacities | Yes | One or more capacity values, using the same units as job demand. |
| Shift Start | Yes | The time the vehicle becomes available. |
| Shift End | Yes | The time the vehicle stops accepting work. |
Other vehicle details¶
The vehicle editor also shows Skills, Start location, End location, status, and frequency. Include these values in your setup where they are needed, or complete them after import.
Start location
Set a depot or start address before optimizing. Without it, the engine may not be able to use the vehicle.
File preparation checklist¶
- Keep one vehicle per row.
- Keep column headings consistent when reusing a saved mapping.
- Use consistent capacity units.
- Check that shift end is later than shift start.
- Review the Vehicle Preview before saving the mapping.
Accepted formats
Vehicle files can be CSV, XLS, or XLSX, with no fixed file-size limit. Addresses are matched with fuzzy logic that finds the closest location, so exact formatting isn't required. Times are read in the app's (your) time zone.
