Use this glossary when a term in Scheduled Routes or this Help Center is unfamiliar.
Planning terms¶
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Job | A delivery or pickup assignment imported for a route date. |
| Task | One pickup or delivery action within a job. |
| Route plan | The optimized result for a route date. |
| Route | The ordered work assigned to one vehicle. |
| Stop | A location visited on a route. |
| ETA | The estimated arrival time at a stop. |
| Unassigned job | A job the optimizer could not place in a route. Select View reasons to see why. |
| Strategy | The goal used to optimize: Minimize Travel Time, Minimize Vehicles Used, or Balanced Workload Among Vehicles. |
Data terms¶
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Vehicle | A fleet record with a name, capacity, shift, skills, and locations. |
| Start location | The depot or address where a vehicle begins. |
| Capacity | The amount a vehicle can carry, such as packages. |
| Skill | A requirement used to match a job with a suitable vehicle. |
| Saved mapping | A remembered connection between columns in your file and fields in Scheduled Routes. The app screen calls these import profiles. |
| Export profile | A saved mapping that controls the fields and layout of an exported manifest. |
| Manifest | The PDF, Excel, or CSV output used by drivers or dispatch. |
Modes and screens¶
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Planning | Route Planner mode used to import, optimize, review, and export. |
| Dispatch | The route-day mode shown beside Planning. |
| Route Plan History | Saved route-plan and exported-manifest records. |
| Onboarding | The four-step first-use guide for setup, route planning, export profile, and finish. |
